There are 250 species of birds in the Bali Bird Park which are placed in seven zones based on their area of origin. The seven zones are:

1. Latin America

In this zone, visitors can witness several species of exotic birds such as the scarlet macaw and the world’s largest parrot, the hyacinth macaw. Apart from that, there are also other types, such as scarlet ibis, purple swamphen, glossy ibis, green winged macaw, buffon macaw, blue and gold macaw, love bird, orange-winged amazon, hans macaw, red-fronted macaw, swainson’s toucan.

2. South Africa

In the South African zone, you can see African gray parrots or African gray parrots which are known to mimic human voices. You can also visit the flamingo pond and see them standing on one leg.

Apart from that, there are other birds, such as violet turaco, Congo African gray parrot, African crowned crane, von der decken’s hornbill, ground hornbill, purple glossy starling, amethys starling, Senegal parrot, laughing kookabura.

3. Sumatra

In the Sumatran zone, there are various endemic birds, such as the eagle cockatoo with dangling ears and strong talons. Apart from that, you can see the chrinsom-winged parakeet, the white-crested hornbill, the hornbill with the stem-pouch, the small kukal, and the black Indian eagle.

4. Borneo

Kalimantan has a diverse ecosystem because it has rainforests that contain a variety of diverse birds. Birds in this zone include the crested snake eagle, nicobar pigeon, bulwer wattled pheasant, great argus pheasant, javan great rhinoceros hornbill, flying fox/fruit bat.

5. Papua

In the Papua zone you will see many beautiful birds, such as paradise, cassowary and blue-crowned pigeons which are probably the most beautiful in the pigeon family. Other birds, namely the golden neck cassowary, double winding cassowary, golden pheasant, green forest fowl, amboina king cockatoo.

Then the emerald dove, southern-pie hornbill, cinnamon dove, black lory, lory salvadori’s black-capped , rainbow lorikeet, royal white-bellied dove, black racket-tailed drongo, southern crowned dove, new guinea bronzewing, African crowned crane, Javan green peacock , Indian blue peacock, yellow lory, ornamental lory, red bird of paradise, yellow lory, red bird of paradise, twelve birds of paradise.

6. Java

In the Java zone, we can see fantastic Javanese eagles, bido eagles, and birds with melodious songs. Other bird species include the Asian fairy bluebird, Asian-pied starling, black oriole, southern-pied hornbill, magpie robin, Sunda scops owl, fire-fringed barbet, purple back starling, Javan sparrow, mustachioed parakeet.

7. Bali

In the Bali zone, there is a rare bird, the Bali starling, which is now continuously being bred so that it does not become extinct. Besides that, there are brown-billed doves, bronze-tailed peacocks, Papua New Guinea bronze wings, peace doves/zebras.
